My Dearest Supporters, Family & Friends,

Over the past month, voters have cast their ballots and made their choices. Now, on Election Night, we’re uncovering the results of those intentions.

While our School Board victory was all but assured some time ago, it’s now 100% official…

I’ll be your Pasadena Unified Board of Education Trustee for District 4!

I couldn’t be prouder and more enthusiastic to help affect positive change for the students of PUSD.

On a rainy afternoon in April, we launched our campaign and vision for PUSD as a District where every student feels that they truly belong.

I want to thank all of the folks who donated, hosted yard signs, organized meet & greets, spread the word and introduced me to the public as a qualified, committed candidate to represent District 4. I will never forget it.

This victory was also due to amazing support from so many in our local and regional community, a few of which are about to assume elected office themselves. From Pasadena Council District 2 member-elect Rick Cole, Council members Jess Rivas and Tyron Hampton, Pasadena City College Trustee Tammy Silver, our new District 25 State Senator-elect Sasha Renée Pérez, as well as District 41 Assembly member-elect John Harabedian, we are all committed to working together to support public education here at home and across the region. With their collaboration, our educational future is brighter than ever.

Which leaves me to give special recognition to retiring District 4 Trustee Patrick Cahalan, who has graciously supported me in this race all the way. He deserves our sincere thanks for his committed service over the past 9 years. If you know him as I do, he’d be the last to stand on ceremony of his accomplishments. But he deserves every bit of gratitude we can muster. He knows how challenging the role is and his support of my campaign has been so cherished and valued.

My promise to the community is that I will be as deliberate and intentional in steering the course of PUSD as I am accessible to those that have elected me. My goal is to work hard to ensure that the public understands the issues our schools face and that they have a voice in charting the course forward.

As I get ready to take the oath of office on Monday, December 9, visit HardenForPUSD.com as it evolves from a campaign website into a destination for information about what’s impacting our schools and what you can do to advocate for all children in PUSD. It will also be a place where you can connect with me and let me know your thoughts as we embark on this complex, challenging but important work.

The journey to our brighter educational future begins now. Please join me.
